All documents on, about or concerning Adam Mayes (September 2, 1976 to May 10, 2012). Proof of death is not required since his death by self-inflicted gunshot wound was widely reported, including by the FBI.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Per your request for additional information, please see the below.
The requested documents certainly pertain to a matter of public interest regarding the operations and activities of the government. The subject of this FOIA request, Adam Mayes, was the subject of an intense coordinated manhunt that included several separate law enforcement agencies at the federal, state and local levels. Adam Mayes was briefly included on the ten most wanted list prior to his apparent suicide. The requested documents will clarify to the public the circumstances of the case that has received considerable national attention.
Please let me know if the above is sufficient clarification in support of my request for a fee waiver. For your additional consideration I also point out that this request is overdue per the federal 20 business day statutory time window for FOIA completion, as the present FOIA request was submitted in April 2014.
