FOIA REQUEST - TROY PD OFFICER PUBLIC RECORDS

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Alabama Public Records, I hereby request the following records:

1) The name(s) of the officer(s) involved in the arrest of Ulysses Wilkerson on or about December 23, 2017;
2) The race of the officer(s) involved in the arrest of Ulysses Wilkerson on or about December 23, 2017;
3) Troy Police Department's policy and customs (written and otherwise) on the use of force including but not limited to lethal force;
4) Any and all audio and/or video of police bodycam and dashboard material captured on December 23, 2017, from these 2017 Troy police officers and their respective police vehicles leading to, during, and following the arrest of Ulysses Wilkerson on or about December 23, 2017;
5) Any and all dispatch communications and CAD logs in its entirety relating to the events leading to, following, and/or surrounding the arrest of Ulysses Wilkerson;
6) Any and all incidents involving the discharging of a firearm by a member of the Troy Police Department in the past 15 years;
7) Disclose whether Troy Police Department has an Internal Affairs Division;
8) Disclose Troy Police Department's process for reporting receiving, and investigating allegations of excessive force and police misconduct;
9) Any and all video and audio of statements made by witnesses (including the officer(s) involved) in the events surrounding the arrest of Ulysses Wilkerson;
10) Any and all police reports, arrest records, and other related reports filed against Brandon Hicks, a former police officer at the Troy police department.
11) Any and all complaints, warnings, disciplinary action, and other related documents filed against former police officer Brandon Hicks when he was a police officer in the Troy Police Department;
12) The annual salary of Brandon Hicks as a police officer in the Troy Police Department in 2016, 2017, and 2018;
13) Official police rank of Brandon Hicks in 2018;
14) Year of first employment of Brandon Hicks at the Troy Police Department;
15) Reason for discontinuation of Brandon Hicks’ employment at the Troy Police Department in 2018.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
