Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Widespread news reports and litigation show that a Trinity County Sheriff's Department employee shot a dog at a marijuana farm earlier this month:

Therefore, I request the following:

- All video, photo, and audio recordings about this incident. Please include recordings as well as any body camera or other audio/video/photographs recorded that day.
- Incident reports, case files, or other official documentation of the event.
- Photographic evidence or documentation relating to the incident or its aftermath.
- Internal communications, memos, or emails discussing or referring to the incident.
- Any medical reports or assessments provided by healthcare providers
- Any other records or documentation you may have that would provide additional context or details about the incident.

If fees are expected to exceed $25, I request that you inform me first before proceeding. If my request is too broad, unclear, or does not reasonably describe the records, please contact me so I can provide additional clarification. It will be used in the course of reporting for Motherboard, VICE Media's science and technology site (www.motherboard.vice.com)

Should you deny my request, or any part of the request, please provide an explanation for the denial, including a reference to the specific statutory exemption(s) upon which you rely. Also, please provide all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material.
