From: Phil Mocek

Dear Ms. Horowitz:

Upon review of the spreadsheet you provided on June 25, 2021, I find that approximately 20 of the records provided contain no first name, last name, or call sign. This includes nine corrections deputies and seven deputy sheriffs. Additionally, I question whether a call sign is the only identifying number assigned to each employee. Are these the numbers that would be printed on a batch or name tag and worn on an employee's uniform?

Phil Mocek

Dear Mr. Mocek:
This communication is regarding your public records request, #S011990-052721.  We received your message sent July 14, 2021 at 3:01 a.m.
The document provided to you was generated from a position number list; the blank lines that you observed are positions that were vacant at the time.
The call sign that was provided is the same as the term badge number used by many agencies.  Some agencies put these numbers on their actual badges or nametags; TCSO does not.  The term "call sign" is used to describe these numbers is because their primary purpose is for dispatching by TCOMM/Radio.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
Sincerely,
Karen Horowitz
