Dear Mr. Lipton:

Good afternoon. My name is Chris Sterner, and I handle public information requests for the Office of the Governor. I have received your request for a log of all requests made to the Office of the Governor during 2013. I am taking care of your request.

Our office has compiled the information responsive to your request, and I am currently preparing it for release to you. Please note that the responsive log includes two public information requests in which the requestors included confidential personal medical information within the requests. We are prohibited by law from releasing this personal medical information to you. Normally, our office must request a ruling from the Attorney General’s office to withhold such information. However, if you give us permission to exclude the personal medical information, we can simply redact the confidential information from those two requests and release the remaining information to you. Please note that this would not preclude you from requesting this or other information in the future.

If you agree to give us permission to redact the personal medical information, you may simply reply to this e-mail or call me at 512-463-1788. You may also call me if you have any questions. Thank you, and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

Chris Sterner
Assistant General Counsel
Office of Texas Governor Rick Perry
