Pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
This is a public records request for a log of all formal requests your transportation department has received under your state public records law from August 1, 2020, to October 31, 2020.
Included in that log of requests, I am seeking all categories/fields included in the log that are publicly releasable under law. They might include such categories as:
-Tracking number of the request
-Date of the request
-Name of the requester
-Organizational affiliation of the requester
-Requester contact information (email preferred)
-Subject matter of the request
-Status of the request (pending, closed, etc.)
-Date the request was completed, closed or perfected
-The result of the request (granted, granted in part, denied, withdrawn, administrative closure, etc.)
-Exemption cited, if any
-Fee category assigned to requester (commercial, educational, news media, other)
-Whether a fee waiver was requested, whether it was granted
-Fees charged to the requester, if any
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

You are trying to tell me that that Tennessee Department of Transportation does not have a spreadsheet where it keeps track of requests?
Can you explain to me how this could be? You don't record requests? You don't have a digital format? What is not responsive? Please help me out.

There is no searchable database to gather the information from. I will have to search our email archives and may be able to produce emails received and responded to as responsive documentation. I anticipate an estimate of fees associated with the search and identification to be provided on/before 08/23/22.
