To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

· A copy of the bid submitted in response to Amazon's request for proposals for the site of its second headquarters, any contracts with third-party providers for services rendered regarding the Amazon HQ2 bid, and any marketing budgets regarding Amazon-related expenditures from September 1, 2017 to the date this request is received.

From: City of Tampa, Mayor's Office

Hi Paxtyn,

Regarding your subject request (copy attached), upon coordinating with applicable City departments the following information has been provided by our Economic & Urban Development Department:

“The City of Tampa did not submit a bid package for the Amazon HQ project. A regional package of information was submitted on behalf of our entire region including Hillsborough County, City of St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, and the state of Florida, along with multiple private and non-profit entities. The package was assembled and submitted by the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp (EDC). A copy of the final package was never shared with the City of Tampa or the other contributing entities...

The City of Tampa did not hire/pay for any of the work that was done in assembling the package. The City of Tampa has an annual contract with the EDC for marketing in general. The EDC is sponsored by the City of Tampa, other local governments, non-profits, and private business entities.

Re: Public Records Request:
· “A copy of the bid submitted in response to Amazon's request for proposals for the site of its second headquarters,”
The City of Tampa did not submit a bid for this project and has never had a copy of the regional bid package.
· “any contracts with third-party providers for services rendered regarding the Amazon HQ2 bid,”
The City did not enter into any such contracts.
· “any marketing budgets regarding Amazon-related expenditures from September 1, 2017 to the date this request is received.”
No additional funds were allocated, nor did the City expend existing funds, for the assemblage of the regional submittal package.”

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance in the future. Thanks, and have a good day,
