Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

This is a request to the Tacoma Police Department for all documents, dispatch logs, incident reports, follow-up reports, copies of medical examiner's reports or photographs, or anything that could be construed as a "case file" or "case documents" or "relevant documents" related to the discovery of the skeletal remains of an unidentified decedent on August 22nd of 1999 in Tacoma. Please include a search for any electronic communication (utilizing fax, teletype, email, or any method) with NCIC or WACIC related to these unidentified remains.

The Tacoma PD case number is: 99-234-0345. The NamUs case number is UP16178. The case is assigned to a Detective Lindsey Wade.

According to publicly released information the conditions of the remains indicates that the conditions of the remains was "consistent with advanced decomposition and not trauma."

Unfortunately, the City of Tacoma does not maintain the records you are seeking.  Please contact South Sound 911 for all reports, Medical Examiner for any reports filed and the King County Sheriff, Incident No. 99261329.
