In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear Shawn Musgrave,

On March 2, 2017, this Office received your public records request for "[t]he most recent annual report required to be submitted to the General Court on the second Friday in January pursuant to MGL c272, 99R" (PRR #170302B). Attached please find the documents responsive to your request. As you asked, they should be in a format accessible to screen readers. Because they are being delivered via email instead of on a storage device and because it took under four hours to review the documents, there is no cost associated with this production. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about this production; I am available by email at claudia.arno@state.ma.us or by phone at 617-619-4131.

Sincerely,
Claudia Arno

Thank you, Ms. Arno.

Quick question — the second paragraph of each report begins, "The number of applications made for electronic surveillance warrants in 2014 totaled two (2)."

Am I correct that the year should be 2016 instead of 2014 in that sentence, or is this sentence an update of a previous report for 2014?

Thank you for your help,
Shawn

From: Arno, Claudia (SUF)

Dear Shawn,

My apologies for the delay in getting back to you – the Office was closed on Tuesday due to the snowstorm, and yesterday I was out sick. You’re correct, that sentence contained two errors. I am attaching the amended versions of the two letters (which were also filed yesterday). Thank you for your patience, and please let me know if you have any other questions.

All the best,
Claudia

From: Shawn Musgrave

Thank you for clarifying!

Have a great weekend,
Shawn
