I hereby request the following records detailing compensation and occupation details for every sworn officer and civilian member of the St Louis Metropolitan Police Department for the most recent fiscal year available:

Please provide the following pieces of information for each employee:

1. Employee first and last name;
2. Unique ID (if applicable);
3. Race/Ethnicity;
4. Gender;
5. Hire date;
6. Job title or position;
7. Organizational unit;
8. Employee assigned location;
9. Salary;
10. Overtime;

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

We are currently reviewing your request and will contact you if any additional information is required.  Otherwise, we will proceed with locating and gathering responsive records from various departments.  Once records are located, they will need to be reviewed to determine what may be released at this time.  All records are released in accordance with the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 and SLMPD Policy.
There will be a cost associated with this request, and you will be contacted with more details prior to records being released.  The earliest records are typically available is as follows:
• Arrest Reports, Background Checks, Crash Reports, Police Calls for Service, Law Enforcement Requests and Non-criminal Police Reports are available within 10 days of submission of your request.
• Criminal Police Reports, evidentiary material and other non-standard requests are available within 30 days of submission.
In the event your request will require additional time you will be provided with a detailed explanation of any further delay.

Dear Kevin Hawkins, There are no responsive records to the above-referenced.  Filling your request would require the Department to create a new record which it is not required under the Missouri Sunshine Law. We can provide a list (excel format) of employees but it will ONLY include the following fields as required by 610.021(13): name, position, salary and hire date. I would also need to know as of what date you would like this information. There will be a cost associated with compiling this information. Please provide a more specific date. The fiscal year for the City starts July 1. For example, do you want a list of all employees as of July 1, 2022 and July 1, 2023?

IT is working on your request but just to be clear, the data will be "as-of" a specific date. It cannot be produced for a certain date range as you have indicated. If this is not OK, please advise.
