To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to follow up on this request originally submitted on July 2, 2015. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.

Thank you for your help.

Mr. Ziegler,

You have requested some information regarding the Domain case against
Harris Cab. As you are probably aware, we were not a party to that
litigation and in fact had no knowledge of the case. during it's pendency.
We are in the process of examining files that may have some bearing and on
the Harris application. We have hired additional personnel to help with
the numerous sunshine requests that have arrived.

We will report back to you shortly with the information that we discover.

From: Mike Ziegler

Mr. Billings,

I wanted to follow-up regarding the materials requested on the Harris cab accident.

I have a few additional questions to your statement: "As you are probably aware, we were not a party to that litigation and in fact had no knowledge of the case. during it's pendency."

- When referring to "case", are you meaning the litigation or the taxicab accident itself?

- Are you meaning that you yourself and your law firm and no knowledge of the case? And if so, why not? Did the case predate your involvement with the MTC?
- Or are you meaning that the MTC had no knowledge of this case/accident?

To clarify my request, I am requesting documents not necessarily limited to just referencing Ed Domain's suit against Harris Cab, but the MTC documents about accident itself within the scope of my earlier request.

Thank you for any clarification and I look forward to your response.

Best,

Mike Ziegler

From: Charles H Billings

Mr. Ziegler.

The Taxicab commission was not notified of the litigation filed by Mr.
Domain until recently. The Taxicab commission is a Governmental agency
that requires compliance by Vehicles for Hire that are subject to our
code. We do not monitor business operations. A taxicab company is not
required to notify the Taxicab commission of an accident. They are
required to carry insurance.

We are checking records currently to determine if there is some reference
to the accident.

I should have more information next week.

Charles Billings
General Counsel.

Hi Mike,

Here are the documents per your Sunshine request.
Thanks!

From: Mike Ziegler

Hi Beth,

Thank you for the documents. Just to make sure I am understanding correctly, is the "Metropolitan Police Department Transcript of Conviction Arrest Information" document you sent over the only background check verification record the MTC has on Asim, and there is no separate FBI records search document?

Thanks for any help.

Best,

Mike

From: Beth Dunham

Hi Mike,

Mr. Asim Khurshid completed FBI fingerprints record check on February 7, 2013. The MTC reviewed his FBI fingerprint check but those records are confidential and are not available to anyone else by law.
Thanks,
Beth Dunham

Hi Beth,

That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!

Enjoy your weekend,

- Mike
