Missing Persons Clearinghouse

Pursuant to the South Dakota Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

The name, age, date missing, and date no longer considered missing for any individuals no longer listed on the AG's Missing Person's Clearinghouse page. The origin of this request is to evaluate how long individuals are missing before found, and to see a better assessment of how many people are listed as missing.

Please reply with any questions or clarifications you may have.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello,
This is follow up to a previously sent email. The email was in regards to the Missing Person's Clearinghouse, and the inquiry was sent to the email listed at that site, as the page requested.

It has been past ten business days since making the request, and SDCL 1-27-37(5) would seem to read that the request was denied in entirety without acknowledgement. However, as it was sent to email, my suspicion is that the email filtered into spam or the like. This correspondence is coming by fax I believe, and should hopefully avoid the spam filter.

Let me know if the request was intentionally denied without response or simply overlooked. In any either, should this fax go unanswered as well or the request be denied, further correspondence will be through the Office of Hearing Examiners pursuant to 1-27-38.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if I need to clarify my request or withdraw and resubmit it.
