To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:

All copies of Requests for Proposals, bids, contracts and agreements issued for work done on Somerville Avenue using federal or state funds from 2004-present.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Chris Faraone

Dear Mr. Faraone,

I represent the City of Somerville in connection with your three separate public records requests dated December 19, 2012 for requests for proposals, bids, contracts, and agreements for work done on Beacon Street, Magoun Square, and Somerville Ave using federal or state funds from 2004-Present. In the interests of efficiency, I am responding globally to all of your requests. If you require a separate response for each request, please notify me and I will prepare a separate response.

Pursuant to 950 CMR 30.06(2), the estimate of the applicable copying, search and segregation time fees is $68.71, calculated as follows:

RFP/bids/contracts/agreements: 247 pages @ 20¢/per page = $49.40

Copying charges/Review time: .25 hours @ $19.14/hour = $4.79
.9 hours @ $16.13/ hour = $ 14.52

TOTAL FEE $68.71

If you would like copies of the documents, please send a check to my attention payable to the City of Somerville in the amount of $68.71.

Thank you.
