To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code ยงยง 6250), I hereby request the following records:

The city of San Jose submits a form annually to the state Demographic Research Unit in the Department of Finance detailing the change in housing units per year. I would like this form that the city submitted for the years 2000 through 2017.

I have attached an example of Palo Alto's form for the year 2017.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Anthony Miller

From: San Jose Planning Commission

I checked with various departments here about this request. The Planning, Building and Code Enforcement Department advises that the DOF conducts outreach to the cities that it seeks to survey. At this time, we are not aware of having received such a request. However, it is possible that no request has been made because the City makes information available on the public website http://www.sanjoseca.gov/index.aspx?nid=2052
The City would refer you to the weblink as the responsive record to your request.
