Pursuant to the California's Sunshine Amendment (Cal. Const. Art. I, ยง 3(b)), I hereby request the following records:
All contracts (and their amendments) and memorandums of understanding entered into by San Diego County for services and activities related to CAI - Ocean View (https://www.cca.com/facilities/cai---ocean-view)
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

While the County is not subject to the federal Freedom of Information Act, we treat your request as one pursuant to the California Public Records Act (Government Code sections 6250 et seq.) and the California Constitution provisions to which you refer.
Your requests were emailed on Saturday, December 20, 2014. We "received" it on Monday, December 22, 2014. The County's initial 10-day response would therefore be due on January 2, 2015. However, pursuant to Government Code section 6253(c)(1) and (2), the County is extending its time to provide you with its determination by 14 days, from January 2 to January 16, 2015.
