1. Flight logs for all drone flights, including training flights from January 1 2023 until the date this request is processed. If KML files or geospatial data exist, please include that as well.
2. Reprimands relating to drones, including misuse of equipment and failure to properly maintain equipment since 2016

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Some of the records you have requested are exempt from disclosure and are not provided in the responsive documents being disclosed to you. 1. Flight logs for all drone flights, including training flights from January 1 2023 until the date this request is processed. If KML files or geospatial data exist, please include that as well. Records under this category are provided; however, redacted pursuant to GC 7923.600 and GC 7922.000. San Diego Sheriff's Dep't does not maintain KML files.

2. Reprimands relating to drones, including misuse of equipment and failure to properly maintain equipment since 2016 Peace officer personnel records are exempt pursuant to Government Code section 7927.705, incorporating Penal Code section 832.7(a) and 832.8.  Additionally, personnel, medical, or similar files, the disclosure of which would constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy, are exempt from disclosure pursuant to Government Code section 7927.700.

Thanks so much for your quick response. I see that the agency has redacted the mission synopsis. Could the agency provide the legal rational for redacting each. I have been able to receive similar narratives from other California agencies.
