Pursuant to the California's Sunshine Amendment (Cal. Const. Art. I, ยง 3(b)), I hereby request the following records:

All contracts, memorandums of understanding, and other agreements entered into between this Department and any agency of the Federal government (including, but not limited to: Bureau of Prisons; Citizenship and Immigration Services; Customs and Border Protection; Department of Homeland Security; Executive Office for Immigration Review; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; U.S. Marshals Service)

This request is being made as part of an ongoing investigation into the nature of the national criminal justice system. The requested documents will be made available to the general public. This request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

The Sheriff's Department is in receipt of your email of November 6, 2015, seeking records pursuant to the California Public Records Act.

On November 16, 2015, the Sheriff's Department, pursuant to Government Code section 6253 (c)(3), extended the response date of your request by 14 days. The Sheriff's Department now responds as follows.

We will produce the requested documents. Because the volume of documents is too voluminous to transmit via email, the Sheriff's Department will compile the responsive records on a CD-ROM, which will be mailed to the address below no later than Friday, December 4, 2015. If the address below is incorrect, please advise immediately.
