Requesting all documents, case files, warrants, charges, reports, and evidence related to criminal investigations/suspicions.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for providing clarification. In response to your request, all responsive records have been uploaded.

Crime reports and evidence are generally exempt from disclosure pursuant to Government Code section 6254(f). However, if you are a victim of a crime, you are entitled to a copy of your report but you must obtain it by contacting the Police Department directly. 

You may contact Records Division at (619) 531-2846 or walk in (1401 Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101) Monday through Thursday between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Please see instructions at

 https://www.sandiego.gov/police/services/faqs/information.

The person making the decision to withhold the records is Capt. Jeffrey Jordon.
