From: Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System
Good afternoon,
Thank you for contacting the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) program.
As a spontaneous reporting system, the VAERS program does not provide medical advice, vaccine information, feedback on specific cases or compensation. For medical advice please consult with your healthcare provider. We included below some referrals that might be helpful.
Vaccine Information
For additional information about vaccines and recommendations for future immunizations you may contact the National Center for Immunizations and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The NCIRD is a disease prevention program providing leadership for the planning, coordination, and conduct of immunization activities nationwide. You may contact them via e-mail at nipinfo@cdc.gov or you can visit their website at http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines . For assistance via phone you may contact the CDC's Information Contact Center at (800) 232-4636<tel:(800)%20232-4636>. Healthcare providers may also contact this number for assistance. This is a bilingual call center.
VAERS Data
Reports received are available online on our website (https://vaers.hhs.gov/data.html ) in case it is helpful to see what others have reported. You may sort the records by vaccine (i.e. Shingrix, COVID-19), adverse events, or medical history. You have 2 options to access VAERS Data:
* CDC Wonder data search tool (http://wonder.cdc.gov/vaers.html): Search data with an easy-to-use, menu-drive tool. Produce tables, maps, charts, and data extracts of vaccine adverse events. You may reference the following YouTube<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bsuy7TsBe8> video for instructions.
* Download raw data: Annual data files are available for download and import into a database, spreadsheet or text editing program.
We hope this information is helpful. Should you require assistance in the future please visit our website or contact us.
Sincerely,
VAERS Staff
