From: Curtis Waltman

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, ยง10, I hereby request the following records:

Any records of communication with US Customs and Border Protection. I would like the date range for this search to be 1/27/17 to the date this request is processed on.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Curtis Waltman

Good Afternoon,

The Revere Police Department received the below fax requesting information concerning our contact with US Customs and Boarder Protection.

Due to the vague nature of this request, we are asking that you be more specific of what you are actually looking for...

Are you looking for a specific Officer's involvement with these two agencies, or all Officer's with the Revere Police Department?

For us to do this search, our Tech Department would have to pull up each Officer individually and then print off their communications. Once they are printed for each Officer, each document would have to reviewed individually. This will take a lot of time and possibly unnecessary.

Can you please narrow down the search you are looking for so that we can get this information to you as soon as possible?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Revere Police

Records Division

From: Curtis Waltman

I am asking for any incident reports where any Revere Police officer forwards for a pick up of a detainee by ICE, or any official requests of the agency by CBP officials. If I could add one more request, I would like any emails from CBP to the Chief of Police of RPD. Thank you for your time and work.

Sincerely,
Curtis Waltman
