Dear Public Information Officer,
I am writing to submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking specific information and records related to training courses offered to officers by the Provo Police Department. I kindly request your assistance in providing the following information and documents for the period from 2021 to 2023:
Training Courses:
a. A comprehensive list of all training courses offered to officers covering compliance and racial bias awareness within the specified timeframe.
b. Detailed course descriptions and syllabi for each training course, including topics covered and learning objectives.
c. Information regarding the providers or organizations responsible for conducting these training courses.
Completion Records:
a. Records of officer participation and completion of each training course, including dates of completion.
b. Documentation verifying the successful completion of each training course, such as certificates or completion reports.
c. Any evaluations, feedback, or assessments collected from officers regarding the training courses.
Course Provider Information:
a. Agreements, contracts, or memoranda of understanding with external training providers or organizations.
b. Records of any payments made to training providers for the courses offered.
c. Any communications or correspondence between the Provo Police Department and the training providers.
To ensure a comprehensive search, please include all relevant departments, units, and training divisions within the Provo Police Department
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
