To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the following records:
-All emails exchanged with Hacking Team (hackingteam.com) between January 1, 2010 and the date this request is processed.
-All contracts, purchase orders, and invoices for Hacking Team products from January 1, 2010 to the date this request is processed.
Per emails published by WikiLeaks, a PCSO detective arranged a Hacking Team demonstration in 2014:
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
Shawn - I have already replied to a previous request from you, exactly like this one. Please let me know if you need anything further.
Thank you for getting back to me. This is a request for documents under the Florida public records statute, where my previous emails were media requests for information.
Please confirm that your agency is processing this request in keeping with the Florida public records law, or let me know if I should submit this request to another individual within PCSO.
Shawn – As the PIO, I fulfill media inquiries and requests. Because you are asking for someone else in our agency to fulfill this as a public records request, I ask that you sent it to email@example.com<mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org> – they will likely charge a fee for searching email databases back to 2010, and a search for the other documents you requested.
For your convenience we have records request forms on our website that you can fill out in advance. They can be found here: http://www.polksheriff.org/InsidePCSO/OBA/BusinessServices/rms/Pages/CriminalHistory.aspx
Please see the below request for PCSO records, which I originally sent to Ms. Horstman (cc'd).
Please let me know if I can provide any further clarification to assist you as you process this request.
Good afternoon, Mr. Musgrave.
We have received your request and are processing it accordingly.
We will keep you posted as to fulfilment.
