Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Memorandums documenting internal complaints against then Officer Peter McNeff created and/or submitted between the dates of January 5th, 2021 and January 8th, 2021.

The existence of this memorandum has been mentioned in a lawsuit filed by Peter McNeff against the City of Pleasanton. A copy of the lawsuit is attached to this request for reference.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

While the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Police Department are committed to the principles of a transparent government, the records you have requested are contained within the personnel records of Peter McNeff and the City is prohibited from releasing those records pursuant to Government Code sections 7927.700 and 7930.180 as well as Penal Code sections 832.7 and 832.8.
