Good afternoon,
We have now heard from the appropriate departments with regard to your public records request attached.
Please note that pursuant to Florida Statute 119.07(4)(d), "[i]f the nature or volume of public records requested to be inspected or copied pursuant to this subsection is such as to require extensive use of information technology resources or extensive clerical or supervisory assistance by personnel of the agency involved, or both, the agency may charge, in addition to the actual cost of duplication, a special service charge, which shall be reasonable and shall be based on the cost incurred for such extensive use of information technology resources or the labor cost of the personnel providing the service that is actually incurred by the agency or attributable to the agency for the clerical and supervisory assistance required, or both." In addition, after identifying and compiling applicable records, due to applicable laws, all records must undergo a pre-review to avoid disclosure of protected, confidential, and/or exempt information.
To compile the records you requested, vet and redact confidential and/or exempt information, we estimate it taking approximately one and half with the first 30 minutes at no charge. This is an estimate, and as such, the amount could be lower or higher depending on what information is discovered on the records. We will refund any un-used money or contact you should it take longer than expected.
If you would like to go forward with this request, please let us know by submitting payment in the amount of $28.45, made payable to the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County, and direct it to: Jessica McDonald, Legal Services, 301 N. Olive Avenue, 9th Floor, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Attached is a cost estimate relating to this charge. Once we receive payment, we will start on the project immediately.
