- Any and all written or electronic communications, including attachments, between your department about Aliso Creek / Aliso Beach "berm."
- Any emailed or formal complaints about the Aliso Beach Sand Berm breach / standing wave
- Any presentations, memos, environmental assessments or other reports about breaching the Aliso Beach Sand Berm
- Any media of the standing wave, including photos and video

Please limit search across the board to between Jan 1 2023 and the time this request is processed.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

- Any and all written or electronic communications, including attachments, between your department about Aliso Creek / Aliso Beach "berm."

- Any presentations, memos, environmental assessments or other reports about breaching the Aliso Beach Sand Berm

Please limit search across the board to between Jan 1 2023 and the time this request is processed. 

The County is reviewing your request and seeking responsive records. Pursuant to Government Code section 7922.535, the County is extending the time for its determination. 

This extension is due to the need to search for and collect the requested records from field facilities or other establishments that are separate from the office processing the request.

We will provide a determination on your request on or before January 9, 2023. Nothing in this letter should be construed as a representation that the County has all of the records requested or that such records, if they exist, are subject to public disclosure.

The Health Care Agency has identified additional records, which are being made available to you on NextRequest. Certain private information has been redacted pursuant to California Government Code Sections 7922.000 and Article I, section 1 of the California Constitution because the privacy interests in the redacted private email addresses clearly outweighs the public interest in disclosure. See e.g. City of San Jose v. Superior Court, 74 Cal. App. 4th 1008 (1999). The decision to redact this information was made by Minh Luong - Custodian of Records for OC Health Care Agency.

The OC Parks department continues to search for responsive records, and will make responsive, non-exempt records available to you on a continuous rolling basis until complete. Please anticipate the first set of documents to be available on or before March 5, 2024.

The previous correspondence on 2/6/24 indicated that OC Parks did not have responsive records for this request and the search for additional records continued. If responsive records were identified, they would be provided on or before March 5, 2024.

 

OC Public Works identified responsive records and they will be made available for your reference in NextRequest. Certain private information has been redacted pursuant to California Government Code Sections 7922.000 and Article I, section 1 of the California Constitution because the privacy interests in redacting private information and complainant’s name clearly outweighs the public interest in disclosure. The decision to redact was made in consultation with the Custodian of Records.
