Regarding complaints filed against the Orange County Jail in New York State for the past five years, specifically from 2019 to 2023.

I am seeking records related to any complaints made by inmates, their families, or staff members regarding the treatment of inmates, conditions of confinement, use of force by staff, and any incidents of misconduct or abuse by staff. This includes but is not limited to complaints related to:

Physical abuse or assault by staff on inmates
Use of excessive force or restraint methods
Medical neglect or mistreatment
Lack of access to necessary medications or medical care
Inadequate food, water, or hygiene conditions
Overcrowding or unsanitary conditions in living areas

Please provide any documents, reports, or other materials related to these complaints, including any investigation reports, disciplinary actions taken, and any corrective actions implemented by the jail.

In order to assist with my request, please provide the following information for each complaint:

Date the complaint was filed
Name of the person who filed the complaint
Nature of the complaint (i.e. use of force, medical neglect, etc.)
Any actions taken in response to the complaint
Outcome of any investigations or disciplinary proceedings related to the complaint

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
