Pursuant to the Ohio Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

The following materials related to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction's Human Subjects Research Review Committee:

• A copy of all Applications for Review of Research Proposal, a requirement for all proposed research, submitted to your department from the period January 1, 2010 through May 31, 2017

• A log of proposed research projects from the period January 1, 2010 through May 31, 2017 and the approval status of each

• A copy of each final project report provided to the Human Subjects Research Review Committee

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Your June 9, 2017 public records request to ODRC is acknowledged. The information you request is in electronic format for years 2014 forward, and we are in the process of gathering that now for production. Anything prior to 2014 is in paper format. It will take more time to collect all the relevant information and determine whether there is a cost associated with production.

The hardcopy documents that will be provided are copies of original documents that were not maintained in electronic format from pre 2014. There are also a few hardcopy final reports post 2014 that that will be sent as well. I hope this helps but please contact me if you have additional questions. I’ve provided your contact information to our IT department. I will follow up with them today to see where we are in setting up the FTP.
