Hello!

1. Time Period: From Sept. 1, 2021 to Present Day
2. Same time period as above and material meaning any material that would generally be released upon request (i.e. notes, bodycam, audio, etc).
3. Must be typo re “both calls for service.” Let’s do all calls for service from the timeframe above.

Hello, we are in receipt of the following clarifications you provided:

Additional question, your original message says “(2.1) Body-cam footage from the interactions with Brian, Christopher and/or Roberta Laundrie (collectively the “Laundries Family”) from May 25, 2021 to Present Day at the Laundrie Residence.” Was May 25, 2021 for Body-cam a typo since you are indicating the time period in 2 above for material (including bodycam) is Sept. 1,2021?

Thanks for this. How large is this file? I’ve never seen a fee that high. Can we get a breakdown of some sort of what this would include (i.e. 50 hours of bodycam, 10 hours of audio, 250 photos, etc.)? Would it be easier to tackle this one segment at a time? For example, could we begin with bodycam of warrant and interactions with the Laundrie family specifically (cost of that)? I don’t think we need 10 angles of bodycam so one or two officers at the scene would suffice. Thank you for your patience along the way.

From: North Port Police Department

Hello, the estimate was based on the following:
BWC/Photos 153.5 hours
Audio 3 hours
Reports 37.99 hours
Total 194. 49 x 25.37 = 4,934.21

There were 931 calls for service “relating to police activity at 4343 Wabasso Avenue From Sept. 1, 2021 to present day”.
Yes, you may modify your request to a be more specific as to what you are wanting.
Just let me know what you would like and we will research to find it and then we will provide you with an estimated cost.

Can we do BWC/photos in 4 batches? For example, invoice me for 1/4, then we proceed to 2/4, etc.? We will circle back to other material after we sort through BWC.

Let’s narrow it down as follows for BWC 1st batch:

• Date of initial contact with Laundrie family
• Date of search warrant at Laundrie residence
• Date Brian Laundrie was reported missing
• Date Brian Laundrie was found dead

Does current estimate account for all officers at the scene? If so, we can narrow that down to one or two key officers (example: first officer making contact and a second higher ranking officer on scene).

From: North Port Police Department

Hello, our office was closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to the storm. We are in receipt of your modification to your request. Please know what is understood is that at this time you would like:
Just the BWC of the initial responding officer and a sergeant/higher officer on scene (if applicable) for the following occurrences

* Date of initial contact with Laundrie family
* Date of search warrant at Laundrie residence
* Date Brian Laundrie was reported missing
* Date Brian Laundrie was found dead

I will search for these items and calculate a cost estimate based on the above. Due to the volume and overlapping of the calls this will take some time to find the specific items pertaining to your request. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Nik, to provide just the CAD report and incident report for the Brian Laundrie missing persons case date of 9/17 and the 9/17 body worn camera video for the Brian Laundrie missing persons case, the total estimated cost would be $253.70 for an estimated 10.5 hrs of work (there is no charge for the first 30 minutes).

If you want to proceed with this let me know and I will modify your original request to reflect the above and I will send you an invoice for the 50% deposit of $126.85 which is required to start the work. Please be aware for extensive requests there is an estimated turnaround time of 8-12 weeks. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
