Pursuant to the North Carolina Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all email correspondences of any employee at the North Carolina state board of elections that include the keywords "Leslie McCrae Dowless," "Dowless," "McCrae Dowless," "Lisa Britt," "Jessica Dowless," "Caitlyn Croom," or "Rebecca Thompson." I'd like a copy of all responsive emails sent/received from 2015-the present.
I request that I be properly classified as a news media requester. I am an intern for MuckRock, and I am requesting this information in that editorial capacity. MuckRock is widely known for its investigative work as well as historical pieces based on public records requests.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

We have received your March 12 public records request seeking the following:

We will begin to pull responsive emails. However, as you know, the individuals named in your request remain under criminal investigation and any emails that pertain to these investigations will be have to be withheld at the present time under N.C.G.S. § 132-1.4<https://www.ncleg.gov/EnactedLegislation/Statutes/HTML/BySection/Chapter_132/GS_132-1.4.html>.
To receive information about the ongoing criminal investigation, you would need to reach out to Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman.
