Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

I am seeking any information in regards to departmental policy in regards to officer identification in regards to interactions with the public furthermore, any policy in which the officer must state their name and badge identification number by the general public. In Addition, we are seeking any department policy in regards to the body-worn camera, Bodycam (BWC) or any recording device which may record audio or video when interacting with the public.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Please note that the '5-Day' statute you are referring to stipulates that the agency must formally acknowledge the request (in which I will), not necessarily that we supply you with the requested information in five days. Of course, the timeframe of the response of requests depends on the extent of the FOIL request itself, which should be taken into consideration.
