Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

I am writing to request the following information:

A complete list of all employees, their job titles, and their annual salary for the last Three years (2020 and 2023).

Please provide all training documents related to the use of force within the agency, including but not limited to manuals, protocols, guidelines, and any related memos or communications.
I am making this FOIA request with any and all agencies that may have the requested information.

The purpose of this request is to gather information that will aid in a research project examining agency practices related to the use of force. The information requested will be used to assess the extent to which agency training on the use of force has been effective. This research project is being conducted as part of a larger effort to promote greater accountability and transparency within law enforcement agencies.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Regarding Request #1, please be advised that it is granted. Requested documents are attached with the email.

Regarding Request #2, please be advised that your request is denied. The New York City Department of Probation is unable to locate the requested records based on information and terminology provided by you.

I have enclosed the appeal procedure should you decide to appeal this determination.
