To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

All of The Stonewall Inn's liquor licenses and permits between 1966-1969 and 1990-2018. The Stonewall Inn is located in New York City at 51-53 Christopher St.

I am a career journalist with work that has appeared in various publications such as MuckRock, The Simmons Voice, and The Westwood Horizon. I am willing to pay any reasonable expenses associated with this request, however, as the purpose of the requested disclosure is in full conformity with the statutory requirements for a waiver of fees, I formally request such a waiver.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Mackenzie Farkus

Good Afternoon Mackenzie,

Attached are the current license renewal applications/licenses for The Stonewall Inn. The renewals happen every two years. The last page(s) on each of these attachments are copies of the licenses. In the 15/17 and 17/19 attachments the paperwork preceding the licenses are the applications for renewal. We are currently working through our historical data to help with the earlier license information in your request.
