Request re Craig Heuermann

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

AtNight Media (formerly Original Media Group) requests material related to former inmate Craig Heuermann (or “Inmate Heuermann”). Public records indicate Heuermann was an inmate of the New York Department of Corrections for charges relating to criminal negligent homicide. On the morning of February 27, 1988, inmate Heuermann was arrested after he was involved in a fatal crash that claimed the life of Winnion Buskey, a New York police captain. Inmate Heuermann served his sentence at a now-closed minimum-security prison located in Gabriels, upstate New York.

Request.

1. Audio.
1.1. Audio files of any prison phone calls placed by inmate Heuermann, in particular, calls placed to his brother, Rex Heuermann (or “Rex”). Rex is an individual of national interest after his arrest in connection to several murders on Long Island.

2. Documents.
2.1. Visitation logs
2.2. Letters sent or received by Inmate Heuermann, particularly from his brother Rex.
2.3. Disciplinary records

AtNight Media is a representative of the news mediaedia and is primarily engaged in the dissemination of information to the public.

For example, notes or reports are available/subject to release but personal identifying information are not, reply with the report summary and omit sensitive information.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
