Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

Related to hydraulic fracturing (fracking) activities in the state of New York over the past five years.

As a concerned citizen, I am interested in understanding the policies and practices that NY DEC employs to regulate and monitor fracking operations in the state. I am requesting any records in the possession of the NY DEC that pertain to the following:

Permits and applications for fracking operations submitted to the NY DEC, including but not limited to drilling permits and environmental impact assessments.
Records of inspections and enforcement actions taken by the NY DEC to ensure compliance with state regulations and environmental standards.
Records related to any spills, accidents, or other incidents related to fracking operations in the state of New York.
Records related to studies or research conducted by the NY DEC or other state agencies regarding the environmental impacts of fracking.
I request that you do not withhold or redact any responsive records, as I intend to pursue all available legal remedies, including filing a lawsuit to compel the production of records, if necessary.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you for your email regarding my Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request related to hydraulic fracturing (fracking) activities in the state of New York over the past five years. I appreciate your suggestion to change the request to High Volume Hydraulic Fracking, and I agree to modify the request accordingly.

Please consider this email as a formal modification to my original FOIL request. I request any records in the possession of the NY DEC that pertain to High Volume Hydraulic Fracking operations in the state of New York over the past five years, including but not limited to:

Permits and applications for High Volume Hydraulic Fracking operations submitted to the NY DEC, including but not limited to drilling permits and environmental impact assessments.
