Dear Mr. Parker:

In reference to your FOIL request, a preliminary search of our e-mail
records indicates several thousand potential matches. We do not find your
request to reasonably describe what records you are seeking. Specifically,
it is not reasonable to expect the district to further search through these
records to then determine what contents are subject to disclosure to the
public. Therefore, we respectfully request that you refine your search, so
that we might better assist you. We are able to search by "keywords", so if
you can provide this information, it will help to focus our search.

Our phone records are only searchable within the prior 30 days. We
conducted a search of the referenced numbers, and did not identify any
responsive records. We were unable to identify any other paper records.

Upon receipt of the requested clarification from you, we will then advise
an estimated time frame to complete the search of these records.

Dear Mr. Parker:

As a follow up, you asked, "For the most part, if you were to use the
keyword "Bennett" as a keyword filter on your first order results, would
that be helpful?"

Unfortunately, it would not, because Bennett is such a common name. We
already used that as a keyword, which produced the 1,000's of potential
matches.

Dear Mr. Parker,

We were able to locate the attached documents, which we believe are
responsive to your request.

We have not attached any emails that include Jennifer Bennett, as such
emails are not subject to release pursuant to FOIL. These records fall
under the inter-agency or intra-agency communications exception.

Might we pick a time that we could discuss this information request (and
other recent requests you have submitted)? We wish to share the documents
you seek, but find that we have been struggling to sufficiently narrow down
the requests to a specific record or document. I think that a call would be
a more productive process. Might I suggest some time either Tuesday or
Thursday morning of this week?
