Good Afternoon Mr. Dunn—

This email serves as NSHE’s “fifth business day” response to your public records request (PRR) made on October 26, 2020. See NRS 239.0107(1).

The police services for the NSHE institutions from which you are seeking the information/records outlined below have been consolidated into a single organizational/administrative unit—the NSHE Northern Command. The Department Head of the Northern Command is Todd Renwick. He is based at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR).

As a consequence, the NSHE System Administration office does not have custody or control of the public records, if any, you are seeking. We will, therefore, close your request.

Please submit your request to UNR here<https://www.unr.edu/administration-and-finance/public-records> and they should be able to assist you.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Zelalem Bogale

Attached is a spreadsheet to reflect this data in the requested format as much as is possible.

**Note: The majority of the data for the UNR main campus domestic violence stats for 2018 was received from Title IX and does not include specific dates. Additionally, the 2020 data is currently not completed yet. For an additional breakdown of these numbers the requesting party can review the Annual Security Reports for the institutions, which are attached to this email.

Requestor will need to request this info through the City of Reno Regional Communications Center.

* Current University Police crime reporting practice and methodology (e.g., how incidents are classified and scored),

Incidents are classified according to the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) model as mandated by the FBI. Incidents are classified by the Clery Compliance Officer in accordance with the Federal Jeanne Clery Act as required by the Department of Education for any institutions which receive federal funding.

* Any University Police digital or physical communications (including but not limited to emails and text messages) and documents, (including but not limited to plain text file, PDF, word processing, spreadsheets, slide documents, faxes, and xml) with any of the following insensitive keywords: "domestic violence" "assault" "battery" "abuse" "batterer" "dating violence" "coercion" "financial abuse" "emergency temporary protection order" "ETPO" "lethality assessment" "physical abuse" "sexual abuse" "sexual assault" "civil protection order" "cpo" "rape" "consent" from August 3, 2019, to present, and

Police Services does not have the capability to do this.
