Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
Please provide copies of all e-mails sent and received by Mayor Will Stephens between the dates of January 1, 2023, and February 1, 2024, from any e-mail account he has access to maintained by the City of Murphysboro as well as any non-city supported e-mail address he has access to and uses for any communications related to his role or work as Mayor of the City of Murphysboro. In addition, copies of all text and multimedia messages sent and received between the dates of January 1, 2023, and February 1, 2024, using any cellular or other electronic device Will Stephens has access to and uses for any communications related to his role or work as Mayor of the City of Murphysboro. All Facebook Messenger and private messages sent and received between the dates of January 1, 2023, and February 1, 2024, from the FaceBook account maintained by Will Stephens, which he communicates in his official capacity as the Mayor of the City of Murphysboro, specifically his Facebook profile, will.stephens.98.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
