To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:
All disciplinary records for the following officers:
- Mario Stewart
- Montika Jones
- Jennifer Lackard
- Marcel Olifiers
- David Gibson
- Gregory Addison
In the matter of Gannet Co., Inc. d/b/a Democrat & Chronicle v. City of Mount Vernon Police Dept., et. al. (Index No. 60904/2022), the court ruled you have to release disciplinary records to include those records before the repeal of section 50A.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Matthew Fecteau

I am reaching out concerning my Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests, which I submitted over 20 business days ago. Regrettably, I have not received any response, leading me to interpret this lack of communication as a denial. In light of these circumstances, I am formally initiating an appeal.
Per the Freedom of Information Law, I am aware that the responsible entity for reviewing appeals must respond within 10 business days of receiving the appeal. Should my appeal be denied, I kindly request a comprehensive, written explanation elucidating the grounds for such denial, as mandated by legal requirements.
Lastly, I wish to underscore that the Freedom of Information Law mandates the forwarding of all appeals and subsequent determinations to the Committee on Open Government, Department of State, One Commerce Plaza, 99 Washington Ave., Albany, New York 12231.
