Dear Ms. Davis:

Pursuant to the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983 (“PRA”), Miss. Code Ann. § 25-61-1, et seq., I am requesting a copy of the following records.

1. All records referencing policies governing access, use, or training related to software designed to access information from social media services.

2. All records referencing the purchase of, acquisition of, installation of, subscription to, payment for, or agreements for software designed to access information from social media services.

3. All records referencing product features or the functioning of software designed to access information from social media services.

4. All records referencing correspondence with any company or company representative regarding software designed to access information from social media services.

5. All records referencing the sharing with entities outside of your department of information collected through the use of software designed to access information from social media services.

If this public records request is denied in whole or in part, please provide (1) whether the documents in question exists, and if so, (2) the statutory exemption you are claiming prevents its release. If DPS claims an exemption for some of the requested documents, please produce those for which it does not claim an exemption, including records where the exempt portions are redacted. If DPS is only in possession of a limited portion of requested records, please produce those in its possess.

Because the requested documents will be made available to the general public, this request is not being made for commercial purposes, and the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest, I am requesting a waiver of any fees for searching or copying these records. In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. If possible, I prefer that the records be produced in electronic format.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

Blake Feldman
