To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Michigan's Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), I hereby request the following records:

Copies of all of Lee C Bollinger's course evaluations, both statistical results and student comments, sorted by date. (Bollinger was a member of the faculty of the University of Michigan Law School from 1973-94 and 1997-2002).

A record of Bollinger's time at the Law School is published here: https://www.law.umich.edu/library/guests/pubsfaculty/facultypages/Pages/bollinger_lee.aspx

That Law School course evaluations are publicly viewable is published here: https://www.law.umich.edu/currentstudents/studentservices/handbook/acadprog/Pages/CourseEvaluations.aspx

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Conor Skelding

From: Conor Skelding

Dear Patricia Sellinger,

Why were only evaluations for those three Law and one Political Science courses released to me, and not all courses from Lee Bollinger's time at the University of Michigan?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Conor Skelding

From: Patricia Sellinger

Those are the only records that exist. You asked for records dating back to
1973, but the University no longer has course evaluation records dating
that far back; we have provided you with copies of the records that still
exist.

Thank you,

Patricia Sellinger
