Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
A spreadsheet (or multiple spreadsheets) of in-service and specialized training courses taken by sworn officers. I wish to receive:
the name and/or department-assigned badge number of the officer
the police department the officer belongs to
the name and/or description of the course
where the course was held
the date and time when the course was held
any other relevant fields
If possible, I would like to both:
1. enrollment records: what courses an officer signed up for
2. attendance records: whether an officer actually attended the course he/she signed up for
Please provide records from the earliest date electronic records are available through to present.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

My research suggests this data is now stored in the Acadis database. Can I have a report of the relevant data from that database, as far back as it goes. I think that covers 2019 to present.

Below please find a response to your request received on July 20, 2020. Our response can be found in red. The attached documents include information on in-service and specialized trainings offered by MPTC to sworn officers in Massachusetts.
We do not yet have electronic records for the years prior in our Training Management System, Acadis.
A spreadsheet (or multiple spreadsheets) of in-service and specialized training courses taken by sworn officers. – This is available in the attached spreadsheets
the name and/or department-assigned badge number of the officer - We do not collect or record badge numbers for any police officers
* the police department the officer belongs to – We began collecting employment information in our Training Management System, Acadis in late 2018 and 2019. Please see the attached spreadsheets in-service and specialized training that contains employment information.
* the name and/or description of the course – See attached Topics for In-Service 2019 and 2020 document, the description of each course is forthcoming.
* where the course was held – This is available in the attached spreadsheets.
* the date and time when the course was held – This is available in the attached spreadsheets.
* any other relevant fields – All relevant class information is included in the attached spreadsheets.
If possible, I would like to both:
