Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A file containing the university-affiliated email addresses, first and last names of all enrolled University of Maryland College Park students as of the Spring 2021 semester.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Your request has been reviewed in accordance with Maryland’s
Access to Public Records Act, codified at Section 4-101 *et seq.* of the
General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland (the “Act.”)

The University is denying your request. Pursuant to Section
4-355 of the Act, the University of Maryland may deny inspection and
disclosure of the part of the record containing the personal information of
a student, former student, or applicant, if the information is requested
for commercial and/or solicitation purpose. Further, a request for student
mailing addresses, including phone numbers and email addresses, would be
denied under 4-330.

Should you disagree with this finding, you have remedial options available.
First, you may seek judicial review of this decision in accordance with GP
Section 4-362. Second, you may seek assistance from the Public Access
Ombudsperson under GP Section 4-1B-01 *et. seq.*

No fees were assessed to process your request. The University
will close its file on your inquiry.
