Requesting: Basic Information on All Open Cases of Missing and Murdered
Persons (Including Juveniles) Within the State
On March 16, 2022, the Maryland State Police received your request made
under the Public Information Act (Annotated Code of Maryland, General
Provisions Article §§ 4-101 through 4-601) for the information captioned
above.

Please be advised open cases cannot be released pursuant to GP § 4-351(b). What

State Police. This agency does not collect the requested information from
the balance of law enforcement agencies in the state. If you are looking
for the state's total, you would need to contact each agency separately.

Please advise if you want me to proceed with the open case count. If we
are asked to proceed, it will take us more than 10 working days to complete
the request, but it will be completed within 30 days from your response to
this email.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns
regarding your request.
