Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
All writings regarding Jail Grievances during the past 36 months including but not limited to periodic or special reports and correspondence. I realize that these writings may be redacted of any personal identifying information and will include any actual grievance filings.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr. Drexel,
I write to appeal your limited response to this request.
Thank you for the grievance logs for the past 35 months, however, this appears to be only partially responsive and would have been part of my previous Record Request 22-575 for Monthly Reports as detailed in the Sheriff's Custody manual and described in this previous request. No reason was provided for why the described monthly reports could not be provided.
The current Record Request 23-45 was for "All writings regarding Jail Grievances during the past 36 months including but not limited to periodic or special reports and correspondence." You provided only the grievance logs for 35 months. As you know, "All Writings" would be expected to include more than these logs.
I appeal to receive my original request for "All Writings".
