Pursuant to the Kentucky Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. All investigatory street stops from January 1, 2013 through present day. Note that I am not looking for traffic stops, as these are publicly available. Please include reason for stop, race of stopped citizen, gender of stopped citizen, age of stopped citizen, whether a search was conducted, whether anything was found in the search, date of stop, time of stop, location of stop, division of stop, beat of stop, and officer badge number. Please do not restrict to only these data fields if more are readily available.

2. All officer shift data from January 1, 2013 through present day. Note that I am looking for each shift worked by each police officer in Louisville. The data fields should include: badge number, assignment (division/beat), start date and end date. Please do not restrict to only these data fields if more are readily available.

3. All complaints against police officers from January 1, 2013 through present day. These should include: officer name, officer badge number, reason for complaint, date of complaint occurrence, citizen race, citizen age, location of the complaint, division of the complaint occurrence, date of complaint filed, summary of complaint. Please do not restrict to only these data fields if more are readily available.

4. All use-of-force reports from January 1, 2020 through present day. These should include: officer name, officer badge number, force used, reason for force, location of incident, division of incident, citizen race, citizen age, citizen sex, whether citizen was injured, whether de-escalation was used. Please do not restrict to only these data fields if more are readily available.

5. All reports of police officers using a taser from January 1, 2013 through present day. These should include: officer name, officer badge number, reason for taser, location of incident, division of incident, date of incident, citizen race, citizen age, whether citizen was injured. Please do not restrict to only these data fields if more are readily available.

6. All reports of police officers firing their weapon from January 1, 2013 through present day. These should include: officer name, officer badge number, reason for taser, location of incident, division of incident, date of incident, citizen race, citizen age, whether citizen was injured. Please do not restrict to only these data fields if more are readily available.

7. All reports of officer misconduct from January 1, 2013 through present day. This should include: officer name, officer badge number, reason for misconduct, location of misconduct, division of misconduct, date of misconduct. Please do not restrict to only these data fields if more are readily available.

Please provide me with the records in a machine-readable ASCII format, such as a CSV, SQL, TXT, or similar raw file. CSV or SQL files are preferred when available. I will prepay the actual cost of the storage medium and postage costs incurred if the records cannot be emailed per KRS 61.874(2) and (3).

Please note that this request is being made SOLELY for ACADEMIC purposes, as I am a graduate student doing research. This is not being used for commercial purposes.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
