Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:
We are looking for all documents related to the Los Gatos contract with Accela to purchase Accela Automation permitting software, including the original contract, the date, implementation and maintenance costs, total cost, contract duration, and all services rendered.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

The Town of Los Gatos acknowledges receipt of your request for public records received on August 3, 2017. You requested the following records:
* All documents related to the Los Gatos contract with Accela to purchase Accela Automation permitting software, including the original contract, the date, implementation and maintenance costs, total cost, contract duration, and all services rendered.
As a preliminary matter, the California Public Records Act (“Act”) authorizes members of the general public to inspect and receive copies of existing records which have been reasonably identified by the requestor, and which records are not exempt from disclosure under that Act. The Act also permits the Town to redact privileged or exempt information from a record, and produce the remainder if the information is reasonably able to be segregated.
The Town is under no obligation to create documents that do not exist in the normal course of business.
Town searched its records and located 320 pages of records responsive to your request. We have produced the records to you in an electronic format as an attachment to this e-mail. If you also want the documents copied and sent via facsimile or actual copies (printed hard copies) of the documents, then there will be a charge of $0.25 per page.
