Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:
This request has a date range of January 1st 2013 to the date this request is processed.
All policies, rules, and regulations regarding the entering of homes. This is not just a request for policies regarding when officers can enter homes, with a warrant or without, although that too is included, but this is a request for information on the regulations regarding how police can do that, what they can and cannot do.
-All complaints the Department has received in the time frame noted above from citizens who had their homes entered by officers. That is to say, this is a request for complaints regarding domicile entrance by police.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

I am the person assigned to fulfill your request. The Public Records Act obliges the County to attend to your request in a manner commensurate with our other duties and obligations. Our procedure is to locate records, review them for exemptions, and then prepare them for release. I will be coordinating with the Sheriff's Office in the collection, review, and production of responsive records.
I anticipate providing a response of my search results or an installment of records to you on or about October 25, 2017. If you have not received a response in that time, please do not hesitate to contact me directly inquiring as to the status. Conversely, if the County encounters a need to extend our estimate, I will contact you with a revised estimated date.
