Dear Rosie,

Further to my last note, perhaps we should speak by telephone so I understand more about how your records are kept. The key information for me is the description provided by the officer. So it would be helpful to discuss what is included in a "minor description."

I will be busy with other projects on Thursday, but will try to reach you by telephone on Friday.

RE: Public Information Request Reference No. W008994-021318 Dear Peter Aldhous:
This is regarding your public information request of 2/13/2018 11:31:50 AM. regarding 2016 reports on Aggravated Assaults.
We received your response this morning under W009141-030818 regarding the pending clarification.

In reviewing it, you did not address Redaction of the following type of reports: domestic violence and  injury to child/elderly which we had spoken about.  We do need for you to state " yes we can redact them" or " no we cannot redact them".  Also these cases would need to be reviewed by the Attorney General and that may take an additional 45 days to get a response from them once you have accepted the Estimate of Charges for the fees that will be forwarded to you once we get your reply regarding the redactions.
When your amended request is received, we will be able to determine a cost and when the information can be made available to you. At that time, we will also be able to notify you if an Attorney General opinion is necessary.  You may contact me at (956) 795-2861 with questions. Please note that pursuant to Section 552.222(d) of
the Government Code, this request will be considered automatically withdrawn if you fail to respond within 61 days from the date of this letter.
Please respond to this email to ensure that we receive and can begin to process the request.

Dear Rosie,

I am happy for you to redact cases of domestic violence. However, I do not wish you to redact cases of injury to child/elderly. I understand that this means you will have to forward those cases for review to the Attorney General.

Best wishes,

Peter
