Dear Mr. Neiss,

We are writing in regards to your APRA request under the Indiana Access to Public Records Act received by the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) on August 18, 2021. We are diligently working on fulfilling your request and expect to have it completed as soon as possible.

Under Indiana law, a public agency has seven days from the date the agency received the request to respond. We emailed an initial response letter on August 19, 2021 and also mailed the original letter to you. Please note that the law requires only a response and not the actual production of records within the seven-day timeframe. The production of documents is not required in this time frame, but within a reasonable time. IC 5-14-3-3 and IC 5-14-3-9.

Please note I did not receive your request of July 23rd and therefore the required notice of receipt could not be sent in a timely fashion. I apologize for the delay and we are reviewing why it was not received.
