Pursuant to the Idaho Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
• All policies related to the employment and payment of incarcerated persons under the jurisdiction of this agency.
• The most recent report regarding currently-employed incarcerated persons under the jurisdiction of this agency. Please include all available segregable information, including the type of employment, the wage at which the employment occurs, and any other applicable information. Please do not include any personally identifying information.
• All reports regarding post-incarceration employment for individuals formally under the jurisdiction of this agency.
If no such reports exist and if reports with equivalent information also do not exist, confirmation of the fact that no data at all exists on this subject will suffice.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

Regarding the most recent report regarding currently-employed incarcerated persons under the jurisdiction of this agency; we don't have any reports that show the number of offenders working in each type of employment, hourly rate for the type of employment, and total number of hours. What is currently available from existing data is attached for FY19 (offender pay for the months of June, July, and August). The invoice description column has the following abbreviations for categories of jobs below. This is the level of detail that is currently available.

The report for the individual payroll records you are requesting is about 2500 pages long, per year and not exportable in an excel spreadsheet. If you would like these reports, the cost would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $740. I can tell you that on fiscal year 2018 we paid inmates $2,494,296.23 for $2,889,833.79 hours worked.
